Ready, Set, Go...
Are you ready?
We have heard from a lot of you and there is a lot of excitement in the air about the Bloomington/Normal, IL event on August 16th. If you are not in yet and are considering it - please let us know. We need a couple more teams in the next week or so to commit in order for us to have a "Shotgun Start" for the golf portion of this event. This will be huge and a lot of fun. If YOU are looking to get a team and are just not 100% sure on your teammates, contact us! If you are already it, please help us out and try to recruit 1 or 2 more teams. Heck, you get free Getaway Games gift certificates for doing this! Remember, to get registered all it takes is your captain to fill out a quick online form and NO downpayment. We will get your team payment and other player details later. If you are a "returning" team/gamer - all you need to do is email events@getawaygames.net and we can add your team from a previous event, allowing you to change players as needed.
We have first class facilities lined up. Pair that with a day away, some competitive juices and drinks with your friends. And Getaway Games is the place to be on August 16th. Plan it now cause it only comes to B/N once a year.
Don't forget, there is a chance to win $10,000 by hitting a hole in one at Ironwood Golf Course. Can you do it and CASH in? Start to get excited about this event as it's almost here!

Needed and wanted
Are you an individual wanting to play in the Bloomington/Normal event but you can't get teammates to commit? Maybe there are 2 of you looking for another 2 guys? Or you have 3 but can't get that last person to commit. Contact us at events@getawaygames.net with your situation and we can likely match you up with what you are looking for. We do our best to match free agents with teams that make sense. Maybe you need a bowler - we can help find one. Don't let "not finding a full 4 teammates" keep you out of this years event. It's a blast!
City Requests?
Want your input
Where would you like to see a Getaway Games event held? We are looking for city ideas for the 2009 Getaway Games season. We'd like to expand but we want to go where we are wanted and where it's a good fit. If you have ideas just email us or find our "City Request" link on the website.
On another note - would you like to see more or less events in your area next year? For instance, we run one event per city but would you participate in both if there was an early spring event and a late fall event? Feedback is welcome. Hopefully see you in Bloomington/Normal.
Gamer Referral Program
Get those teams to join
We now have an "official" Gamer Referral Program. Many of you wanted some kind of reward for inviting other gamers and teams to play. Now you have it.
Recruit a team to sign up and we will mail you a $50 Getaway Games gift certificate. That is nearly half off your next entry. Get two teams to enter and you are basically playing for free. Sound like a deal? It is.
All four gamers from the "new" team must be new to Getaway Games.
The recruited team must identify you as the referral source. If they don't fill that out online - we will ask and be sure they use your name.
If you are interested in promoting the event via flyers, we do have flyer templates that we can send to you with your referral name directly on it. Contact us at events@getawaygames.net to set that up.
