Gamer Spotlight
This weeks gamer spotlight goes to the MVG of the 2007 Pekin event, Jeff Rogers of Norfolk And Chance. Jeff finished Pekin in 1st place without winning a single event. He showed his versatility as a 4-tool gamer by placing 7th in bowling, 2nd in HR derby, 9.5 in Sure Shot, and 9th in Hold'em. What a performance! Will Jeff be back for 2008? If so he's a real threat for MVG once again!
Gamers in the News
A new little segment we are going to do is "Gamers in the News". If we run across a news or internet article mentioning one of our Gamers - we might just write about it. This week, Erik Nelson of Controlled Chaos gets a nice mention in the Peoria Journal Star for his 216 bowling average. Erik took 3rd in the Bloomington event last year with a 442 2-game series. If you have an article that mentions a gamer - send it our way!

Oswego Event Deadlines
event just 2 weeks away
 With the Oswego, IL event now less than 2 weeks away - we need to get some things finalized! The event registration deadlines have been set as:
with tshirt - 5/14/08
no guaranteed tshirt - 5/21/08
We will be ordering tshirts this week for the Oswego event so if you are sure to want one - just get your captain registered!
Also - all teams that have registered and NOT paid, please do so as soon as possible. Contact us if you need some help on how to pay. Really looking forward to this great event.
Pekin 2008 Getaway Games
deadlines, teams, fun!
The 2008 Pekin event is filling up fast and with the latest advertising push - could fill up even faster. If you are considering getting a team for this event, don't wait! You can register by just filling out your "Captains info" and then adding your other 3 players later. This event is wide open for a winner to join and take this event. Are you that team? The reigning Pekin champs are hurting as their captain and star, Justin Carley, broke his thumb late last week and is a NO-GO for the Pekin event. Will this keep the "All-in Boys" completely out of this event? Or will they defend their title without him? We have also heard rumors that the reigning MVP, Jeff Rogers, can't make it back this year due to a conflict. If there is any truth to this - we will be crowning a new MVG as well in 2008.
