Pekin Event Teams Released getaway_games_logo_300×137.jpgWe currently have 8 teams and counting for the 1st ever Getaway Games event in Pekin. There are a number more that are just finalizing their registration details so that's exciting. The team names and scouting reports are now available to everyone. All you need to do is visit the 'Event Details' page for Pekin and click on each team. Check out their ratings and scouting reports - it's fun! For those of you who are working on teams - please try to get those in as soon as possible. We want to complete scouting reports for all of our teams and get a good feel for the competition. As you can see now, this event is still wide open. Are you the team to come in and win it all??? We have finalized the grand prize and ALL 4 OVERALL WINNERS will receive a $200 gift card to StubHub along with free entry to another Getaway Games Event. Tons of other prizes are available as well. Win the overall and buy those World Series or March Madness tickets next year :)

Softball Rules Finalized and Tweaked The Getaway Games softball HR Derby rules have been modified just a bit. We had been asked by several people to consider having different 'teirs' of homeruns to reward the guys that really smack it. So - the HR Derby will now have 3 homerun lines placed at 180 ft. - 200 ft. - 220 ft. worth 1-2-3 points respectively. Everything else is the same. You can read the full rules at our rules page.
